SJH Building Supplies Covid-19 Response

Download our PDF to see how we’re working safely and being socially responsible during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

COVID19 – Support For The NHS – URGENT assistance only.

As long standing members of REFCOM, we continue to support everyone around them & what they support. We are listed as a building services contractor, willing to carry out work at NHS Estates at short notice.

We are also on call for urgent help to our own customers, including Plumbing for Critical Heating for the elderly as temperatures drop from 1 day, Refrigeration for fresh food supplies or Air Conditioning for Cooling Server/Print rooms, as temperatures rise the next day.

Non-Essential EVERYDAY assistance.

Our staff are now back at work after being furloughed, ready to help our customers and clients.

Our measures are standard practice as always; correct PPE to be worn at all times, with any additional measures to follow as advised by REFCOM & BESA thank you to CIBSE.

Social distancing & thorough hand washing & anti-bacterial hand sanitisers where hand washing is not possible.

Sites exposed to Coronavirus contamination, we advise turning off Air Conditioning/Ventilation systems with recirculation only modes, until internal filters can be replaced & chassis & ducting cleaned.

Systems to be running at this time that cannot be shut down; Dilution of contaminated air will reduce risk from contamination, so we recommend Ventilation or Air Conditioning that normally runs with a recirculation mode should be set up to run on full fresh air ONLY.

The potential benefit to public health at this time outweighs the reduction in energy efficiency caused by not recirculating air.

Our operatives will be under strict procedure of isolating systems before disturbing mechanical parts preventing exposure to possible contaminated moving airflow.

These measures in place reduce risk for everyone around us, providing support to those whom most need it in these unprecedented times.

Furthermore ensuring we can all arrive the other-side of LOCKDOWN safely, to continue supporting our industry, clients & our staff when business returns to normal. This is something we are ALL looking forward to.

Our THANK YOU to the NHS

To all the NHS staff doing their best to save lives, we sincerely thank you for all your relentless efforts to support all those at risk & suffering from Coronavirus.

To conclude our message, stay safe everyone & stay home to save lives & support the NHS.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
